Deer Landing Oyster Company strives to produce the best small-batch oysters on the market. Because our farm is small, we are able to handle each oyster with care—cleaning and tending to them each by hand.
Our farm is located in Muscongus Bay, just at the mouth of the Medomak River. This location provides our oysters the benefit of strong river currents and seven to ten foot tidal ranges that bring fresh nutrients in and out of the farm continuously throughout the growing season.
The cold water temperatures here in the midcoast give our oysters a longer growing period, too. That long growing period lets these filter-feeders absorb all the beautiful flavor the Gulf of Maine waters have to offer. The result is a uniquely tasty oyster.
Our oysters are deep-cupped, crisp, and briney. We love ‘em—we eat them all the time! And we hope you will too.
